My pal, Patrick called and he said he wanted to go to Johor Bahru for dinner! This is my first adventurous trip out to malaysia and know not what to expect!
But before the trip started, i was feeling hungry and decided to wait for Patrick at Ya Kun and have a quick bite before he come swishing down in his SLK .
Upon arriving at Johor Bahru, I was taken aback to it surroundings and it's kinda backward housings and roads. It's so different from what I am accustomed too. But being the adventurous me, i decided to venture into the unknown!
Johor Bahru, a border town but filled with lots of unexpected surprises. Along the coastal lines where Singapore is just across we headed down to DANGA BAY. DANGA BAY is just like our EAST COAST PARK in singapore but with lots more eateries and an amusement park. I must say, if i have a girlfriend, i would bring her down to DANGA BAY for a nice evening stroll by the beach.
There were too many shopping centers in Johor Bahru, from the famous, CITY SQUARE, HOLIDAY INN PLAZA, to Huge mega malls like JUSCO and TESCO down the road and not forgetting PANDAN CITY for all quirky little cheap buys. There were lots thai massage centers too! From the famous Thai Odyssey to the ones which are clean but yet provides abit of dodgy business too ( Amazing Thai Massage)
Finally it time for dinner and we headed down to TAMAN SENTOSA at this restaurant called SEE HAI 101 and had delicious chicken wings and prawns! Yummy Yummy....
Patrick said that he was still hungry and thus we headed down to Jln Data Abdullah Tahir for some street food called LOK LOK, in which you cook the food in a pot full of hot water and dip the tasty little foodies in different sauces. It was so exciting... never had food that way before.
I was so full after all the eating that I collapse in exhaustion from eating! Looking at the time, it was time to bid Johor Good night as tomorrow, i will be off to KOH SAMUI . I will be at beach resort resting my little feet!
